Luis Branco, Head of International Scouting at Sporting Clube de Portugal (Sporting Lisbon), the Club that discovered and produced Cristiano Ronaldo, will attend the European Football Academy (EFA) trials in June.

Selected players will be identified for a scholarship with EFA. EFA Scholarship Program includes 3 Tiers, the highest of which offers a 5-day internship with the Sporting Lisbon Academy for older age groups. Click HERE to learn about our Scholarship Program.

European Football Academy, a London-based youth club, is set to offer talented footballers the chance to display their talents in front of the Sporting Lisbon’s Head of International Scouting, the club who discovered Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and Tottenham Hotspur and England midfielder Eric Dier.

Luis Branco will help us choose players for our Performance and Development teams at two separate events in London on June 24th and 25th. Players who do not get selected for a scholarship will also have the opportunity to join the academy and have access to our training program.

To attend these events all players are required to Sign up online. Players who do not register online may turn up and participate in the trial if free places are available for their age group on the day, but we do not guarantee this.

You are only guaranteed a trial, if you have signed up online as spaces may already have been filled.

South London Trials start at 9am on June 24 at Archbishop’s Park, Carlisle Lane, London, SE1 7LE

and the

North London Trials start at 9am on June 25 at Market Road Football Pitches, Market Rd, London, N7 9PL.

The trials will be run for boys and girls aged 5 to 16 and is free of charge.

The best football players during the event, picked by Luis Branco himself, will start a one-month trial to win a scholarship with the European Football Academy. The very best selected of the aforementioned group will travel to Sporting Lisbon with all expenses paid (flights and accommodation in the Sporting Lisbon Academy) for a 5-day internship at their Academy. This is a rare and exclusive opportunity to live the life of a young footballer in one of the best football academies in the world. Sporting Lisbon is the only football club in the history of football to have produced two Ballon D’Or winners, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Figo.

Nuno Coelho, Founder and Sports Director, said: “We aim to establish partnerships with the best football academies in Europe, providing our players with the best opportunities to develop. We also want to support local communities by giving children the chance to benefit from a healthy life style and develop the kind of skills that will help them not just in football, but throughout their lives.”
