Eaton Square School Under 9 Tournament

Sponsored by the European Football Academy

The tournament took place at the All Weather Sports ground on Battersea Park.  The parents had come down in force and the venue looked incredible.

A total of 32 teams entered the tournament itself from 24 different schools in the local area.  The Eaton Square A team were drawn in a tough group comprising of Westminster Under, Notting Hill and Hornsby House.  They finished the group stages with 2 draws and a loss after conceding late in the match against Westminster Under.

The B team played incredibly well finishing their group shield with a win, draw and a loss against Chepstow House, Wetherby and Hill House.

The A team were then unfortunate to be knocked out in the last 16 of the plate.  The B’s progressed through to the semi-finals where they lost to St James school who had earlier knocked out the A team.  The overall winner were Eaton House the Manor who beat Newton Prep on penalties.

We would like to thank Eaton Square school for allowing us to help them out and also the School would like to extend their thanks to the parents and children who help make this day such a success.
